Visual inspirations

Writers, musicians, painters; all find visual inspiration in their surroundings. I like to visit the places I write about: to feel, taste, hear, smell, touch...
Here are some visual inspiration from LOVE RESTORED.

Chateau Léon, badly damaged by fire in 1984, as it now looks after Rachel restored it. Little did Rachel know when she took on this project that this is where she would meet Alain again. Had she known the owner's son was the same man that almost destroyed her trust in love before, she probably would never have signed up for this work.

This beautiful chateau near Cassis sparked my inspiration for creating LOVE RESTORED.

It's in Monaco that Rachel first meets the attractive and debonair Alain. Initially nervous and tense, Rachel is soon charmed by Alain’s intellect and relaxed wit. As the evening proceeds, she unwittingly uncovers other interesting facets about this tall, confident man. Like his passion for art. And his luxury yacht, Vintage, moored in the Monaco yacht basin. It is here, on his yacht, where Alain’s first fiery kiss awakens a hidden passion, buried deep inside Rachel.

Oh, that first kiss. This image captures it with so much sensitivity.

But their moment of passion is rudely shattered when Alain uncovers Rachel's history. He storms away, brusquely ignoring any  explanations from Rachel, his blind rage fueled by a dark secret of his past. Pride triumphs truth and Alain leaves behind a deeply hurt and heartbroken Rachel, devastated by that familiar pain of rejection. Rejected - just like before.

A pensive Rachel stares from the window of her hotel room in Hotel de Paris.

Hot tempers, passion, and desires clash with stubborn pride and internal conflict to tell the passionate story of a stormy love between two people - a love that might be lost on them forever.  Get you copy here.
